: Hey guys...I have a question for all of you guru's out there...
: I have a pretty large rig (physical size-wize) and I was thinking of downsizing...I'm moving off to college, and I don't think I need the setup I have right now. My current rig is:

: Samick Defretted P-bass clone...plays awesome, after about 15 hours work, new hardware, electronics...the works

: Roland DB-500 combo amp...160 watts to a 12" and tweeter.

: ART Nightbass multi effect unit. Damn fun to play with...very useful...I may or may not sell.

: Korg G5 Bass Synth - Really fun playing wth, but not exceptionally useful for me.

: Mitchell 18" folded horn cab - 28 years old, still blasts...

: Peavey CS-200 commercial series rackmount amp.

: DP custom 5-string being built...6 weeks

: The nightbass is used to bi-amp with high/mid going to the combo, and lows going to the 18" sub. Pretty powerful, but that mitchell is rather large...not really needed right now. I was thinking of selling the rig (should I sell on ebay as a whole rig, or peicemeal?) and buying a nice (botique) and small combo amp. Something with either 1 or 2 10"s seems to fit the bill nicely. I wanted to kknow if any of you had any suggestions as to good amps...I've looked at the GK combos...they look really nice...are there any others out there that are reasonably sized and unreasonably powered? I'm looking for like 200-300 watts minimum...I think...I just heard of the Peavey Bam 210, and it also caught my eye...I really like that "professional" sound of a 4x10, with the strong growly mids and such...part is the bass...but I've got that coming...and I wanted to know if you guys knew of any good combos out there...
: Thanx for any help!
: Deman
: P.S. - Also, should I sell my rig peicemeal, or as one big rig?

A great choice would be Trace-Elliot 122H. It's got 2x10" speakers and 300W output. Also you'll find 1x10" and 4x10" versions of it.
