Dear Stew:I am speaking of basses with double courses,tuned E-A-D-G with pairs of strings in octaves. The first one I saw was made by Hagstrom back in the 1970's. Carol Robelli(SamAsh)and Dean recently offered 8-strings;I wanted to see if anyone thought they were worth using,or if an octave doubling stomp box would do the same thing.
