: i feel like i want to play the bass for a long time, but i am not completely sure, so for my first bass, i want to keep in the low, low range. i am thinking that i will probably get the squier affinity p-bass, but that kramer 420s at musicyo.com looks mighty tempting. is there anywhere (or anyone with experiences with this bass) to verify if the kramer (and the amp packaged with it) will be ok for a beginner...i mean, it is very cheap, but i just don't want it to be absolute crap. thanks

Yo beginner,

I read sobe good reviews agout the Kramer package. Depending on your budget, a Mexican Fender may be a good choice too, although more expensive than the Kramer Package.

Peace,

JP
