I recently got a scholarship to The University of Louisiana in Lafayette. I played the final movement of a Bach violin sonata(#3), and a chordal arrangement of Errol Garnor's "Misty" - arranged by Micheal Dimin - you can search for that one. BTW, more universities are allowing for studies in electric bass these days. After the audition, I was told that these pieces were extremely difficult for an entrance audition, but if you really work on them for few weeks - I had 3 weeks to prepare - you should be fine. They do want to know you can read, but if you cant, try and show them that you can imorovise and that you are a SERIOUS musician who wants to learn.
