Ok, after playing for 15 years, and being in numerous bands, my current band is asking me to jump around and move on stage (what this has to do with playing music I really do not know). I am pretty much of a stand still bass player, i just enjoy finding the groove, getting in my own personal space, and having a good time, but my fellow band members claim I am ruining the show by my lack of movement (even though audio tapes show a killer performance). This is the first time anyone has ever criticized my playing or the way I play on stage, so I am not really sure how to handle it. I see plenty of shows where the musicians move very little if at all on stage, and they are just smokin' shows, so whats up with all of this?

For the record, these guys are all in thier 30's (as am I), and are intent on becoming rich and famous thru music, while my only goal is to make good music and have fun.
