: Ok guys,

: Since I got me a "brown bass" I've gotten on a Stanley Clarke kick! Lord help me, he 'd man! [of the hour!]

: so far I've got School Days and I wanna Play for You on LP, and I plan on updating that w/cd's...

: I'd like to form a comprehensive collection of BASS (especially solo) artists. I know there's alot of them out there.
: could y'all recommed me what artists and titles of cd's I should get?

: I have some Jaco, and working on Clarke..

: What's your favorites???

Yo Tim!!
One guys who has chops for weeks AND an outstanding overall musicality to his playing is Canadian Alain Caron. So far I only have one of his discs, titled "Le Band". He terrifies the pants off me.
Then, of course, is Jeff Berlin. His "Crossroads" compilation is just too much bass to take in one dose!! I know he has a new CD out, only available through his website. However, many guys in TBL (some of the pickiest sonofabitches you can find) are already talking about how great it is. Gotta get me a copy right away!
Buena suerte and keep your basses way up front in the mix,

El Pájaro

: Oh YEAH. Peter Duncan of Zon fame [ahem!] has had some really pompous flame wars in other web areas but regardless, he's a VERRRY talented player. I have a "sampler" of his and I would like to get more of his work as well...

: Tell me guys. Where should I start?

: THANKS!
: Tim
