This is the official word from Steve (The Dude) Barr.!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok Guys,

I have some inventory of new J & U Retro's here that I need to sell this weekend to raise NAMM money. This is the first time I have ever offered them at anything less than the $250 price and I don't anticipate that I will ever do this again so jump now if you have been considering buying one. These are all new custom units that were ordered by someone who has yet to come through with payment after a month so off they go (he'll have to wait if he comes through...I'm not a banker!).

Due to time constraints I can't accept checks or money orders on these units I'm afraid. Only PayPal or Billpoint payments please. You do not have to register or anything for Billpoint; I send you a Billpoint invoice and you can use a credit card to pay the invoice via secure server.

Here's what I have:

(3) Chrome J-Retro Deluxe's with upgraded passive tone control option mounted in the 4th hole on the Jazz control plate. You will need to use them with a side mount input jack. These are drop in retrofit units for Fender Jazz Deluxe Basses or you can pop them in a regular Jazz if you install a side mount input jack. These upgraded Deluxe models typically sell for $275 but I'll sell these 3 off for $225 each including shipping or buy 2 for $425 or all 3 for $600.

(1) Chrome U-Retro (non plate mounted no passive tone) typical price of $250. This weekend I'll sell this one unit for $205 including shipping.

(1) Custom U-Retro Deluxe (passive tone option) that was ordered with gold mini-toggle switches and black lower knobs and gold top knobs. I have gold lower knobs so you could either get it as is with the black/gold knob combo or all gold. This unit sells for $300 ($25 upcharge for the passive tone control plus $25 upcharge for gold). I'll sell this unit this weekend for $250. **SOLD**

(1) Custom Black U-Retro just like the one we made for Prefab for his MIJ Fender Power Jazz Special with a large 3-way pickup selector switch. This can be used to hot rod a Fender Power Jazz or non-active Jazz Special (the ones with the black headstocks) or used in a project type bass. This unit sells for $300 and I'll sell it this weekend for $250 including postage.

(1) Custom U-Retro Deluxe mounted in a Fender OEM '57 Reissue gold guard. This is the one I had John make for a project bass of mine. It can be used in a Fender Hot Rod P-Bass or any two pickup P-Bass. This may require some additional cavity routing. It is one of a kind unit that would sell for $350 if ever put into production. I will sell it this weekend for $275.

There you go guys...first to email me at vintgebass@aol.com on any or all of these gets them! Snap em up!
