: Soon I will have my Jbass converted to fretless via a Warmoth neck. I've been researching strings for a while now and am wondering if any of you folks have tried the Elixer Polyweb strings (on a fretless or otherwise). The ads make 'em sound great....last 3 times longer than other strings with the same tone, but I have my doubts. Figured I'd ask for input before I blow 40 bucks on 'em. If that coating messes with the tone I guess I'll just go with the RS pressurewounds.

Len.

I have been using polyweb strings on my fretless for a bout 12 months now and havent changed the strings once, Yet the still give out great tone they basically sing, superb, They are a good string i know slightly more expensive than normal run of the mill strings but in my view are worth every penny. They feel and look amazing. ( i am not in anyway involved with the company this is my honest opinion).

Hope this helps

40 bucks im from England how much is that here i pay about 35 a set ?
