: i wonder what you think about Paul Mccartneys Bass playing ??
I read with amazement, the other comments on your post and not ONE of them really hammered in the truth about P. McCartney. Paul was the "Jimmy Hendrix" of bass playing. If you don't know what I mean by that, do a search on Jimmy Hendrix and you'll start to get the drift. Paul M., at the very LEAST, totally re-wrote the role of the electric bass and opened the doors to the "Jaco Pastorius's", the "Victor Wooten's", "Flea's", "Geddy Lee's" and the "Stu Hamm's" of the world that allowed them to expand on his GROUNDBREAKING style and evolve the electric bass into the melodic, hypnotic instrument is has become in modern ages!
If you don't believe me, ask them! Your modern-day bass heros (with a lick of sense) would agree! Again, for all the young'n's: Paul McCartney = (bass equivalent of) Jimmy Hendrix, K? 'Nuff said!
