I bought two 12' bass monster cables about four months months ago when I got a new transducer system for my upright bass. I use both - one from the upright bass to the preamp and the other to the amp.
One started acting badly with a lot of static. I opened the connector up and found the shield ground had come unsoldered. I replaced it with a regular guitar cable
and everybody said my sound was better than it had ever been.
1) Anybody recommend a good cable that takes a licking and doesnt fall apart?
2) The two cables are put together differently - the one that failed had a hard plastic retainer; the good one had shrink wrap around the connector.
3) How do you get the store to honor the "lifetime" guaranty.
