Ever since I started to play bass i've dreamed of owning the perfect bass.
Today when I was talking to my friend we started talking about the perfect guitar and the perfect bass.
I decided that my perfect bass would have;
1) The neck form a Warwick bass
2) Some great pickups (any pickups with a warm, thick and very, very bass sound)
3) A two teck bridge (or is that 2 Tek ?)
4) the body of a gibson SG
5) active electronics
I'm quite sure that you can't simply take all these peices and throw them together to get a great bass.
But. Can you take the neck, pickups, electronics and bridge and then fix them to a "home-made" body ?
Just as long as you could make the body yourself you could make almost any bass, with different parts from different basses, right ?
What I really want to know is if this would work or not, are there implications?
Also, could I get someone to make the body of the bass and assemble it for me ?
Are there people who would / could do that (for a price of course) ?
Any help'd be appreciated
