Thanks for the info. Next time we practice I'm gonna have to ask our sax player to borrow some of his cork grease. :)

: : I don't use a pick when i play and every time i have a long practice with my band i get mean blisters on either my middle or index finger on my right hand. Anybody got any suggestions on how to prevent this.

: Hehe i kinda thought i was the only one that suffered from this at first. Ive played almost 5 years for at least an hour a night (most nights anyway). I still get blisters when I play live or sometimes during practice. It seems that when your fingers get moisture on them from sweat or whatever they get soft and start to hurt a little. My solution is to put cork grease (saxophone lubricant) on a napkin and stuff it in a small ziplock bag. Then i stuff it into my pocket and between songs i rub my hand on it. This gets a little annoying at first but it seems to help me on long nights.
