: : I haven't been following their street price lately, but, if you can get one for $700.00 I'd jump on it. I think I read that they don't have any volume controls.
: : I also read that the pickups are extremely hot. I'm partial to Gibson basses myself; I have an Epi Jack Casady - What an instrument! Gibson(as usual)will probably discontinue it sooner than you think. If you want to buy it as an investment, I'd just like to say that it may take longer than you think for it to go up in value. The real key to getting top dollar for an old bass is that it's got to be old, in good shape, and a popular model.

: Mickster,
: I think your right about buying, I already pulled the trigger this morning and should get it by the end of the week. It doesn't have tone/volume controls and it's sort of a thrasher t-bird. I also aggree that this will never put my imaginary kids through college but I can't imagine ever getting much less than what I paid if it's in good shape. I'll play it, who am I kidding?

: Thanks for the advice, the deed is done.

ALRIGHT! I love it when people ask advice about a bass, and then go out and buy it! Congratulations! Let us know how she sounds/plays after you get acquainted with her.(yes, most basses are female)

Enjoy, Kev.
