: Guys, Im thinking of getting a better bow in the price range of $1.500 to $2.000. Do you have any suggestions. I tried one Pfretsner which had a good feel, do you know in what price range they are usually.

I see where Shar (www.sharmusic.net) has Pfretschner bows for $2725.

The main thing (as you may know) is whether any given bow is well-matched to your bass and whether it just works well for you as a player. I would try to play as many different bows as possible before making a decision.
