: : Hi,
: : I'm doing a double bass recital in june, and I'm in desperate need of some more repertoire. I'm looking for 20th century pieces written for either solo double bass with percussion accompaniment, or solo bass with tape accompaniment. If anybody knows of any pieces/composers that could be of use to me please let me know, I would be very grateful.
: : Thanks!
: : Bas.

: Lemur Music has a large selection of bass music.
: they are nice folks and they ship really quickly.
Yeah, the Frank Proto stuff is Pretty Good, also Look for some Bertram Turetzky
Recordings. His performance of "Failure" was always one of my favourites, also the Sydeman unaccompanied Concerto. And don't forget the Hindemith Sonata!
