Well, I bought a Romanian carved bass...the Leon Aubert R-22 or the Mathias Thoma MT-1. I noticed some cracks in the top of the bass and have ordered a new one. But I also have a unique oppritunity here because I could just return this Romanian and get the Musima German plywood or Hybrid bass for the same cost. I have played the two--the Romanian and Musima Plywood--and the real differnce is in the bowing. I play jazz so bowing isn't too much of an issue and I will be using the David Gage pickup too. So, all of you with more experience than I, should I go with the plywood, hybrid, or stay with the Romanian carved? Any advice would really help a confused beginner!!!!!

Thanks,
Erik
