This fine instrument was made in Germany in the 1790's and was fully
restored in 1994. It is a smallish 3/4 with a gamba shape, round shoulders, dark brown oil
varnish, carved back with a mensure of 41 1/2 and is in excellent condition.
It is very well suited for jazz, solo or chamber music and has a warm,
focused sound with lots of character. This bass was used for developing
the prototype for the Underwood pickup, but I like it with the Fishman;
either way it amplifies extremely well. Mooradian
bag included. $10,000 US obo
