: Your King,
: I can't help with the end pin but I would like to know if you just purchased the king at an instrument show either in Nashville, Tenn or in Texas.

I may have seen the bass at the Nashville show you're talking about. There was one sitting beneath a table that looked like it had King or Am. Std. tuners, and the lady "guarding" it said it had been sold. But there was one at another booth that was I believe a 5/8 size, had a nice sound, but the endpin was sort of caved-in. Maybe that's the one you saw. I didn't know they made one that small. Didn't have any purfling, but some idiot drew one on with a magic marker.
