: Anybody had a chance to check these out? What is everyones opinions on the sound of the different EUBs out there? I haven't played upright for very long so getting used to it won't be a problem. I am just looking for something with a good sound. I have heard the NS Design stuff is good because you get great upright tones and some modern unique tones with the EMG magnets. Thank you in advance for your replies.

I have a Moses VJB 5 (original version). The graphite neck feels like glass--smooth and solid. The sustain is very good and the 'modern' tone can be good. I like it. But I wouldn't mistake its sound for a URB. Also, the tone control has to be turned almost all the way down, or I get too much treble/string noise (a parametric EQ might help). Of course there's no bowing it either. I would think their standard KP-4 upright would be more appropriate to compare to the NS. I don't have any experience with the NS line, however, but wish I did.
