: : : I have a late 50's-early 60's blonde Kay-- violin corners, rosewood fingerboard, adjustable bridge. Sounds wonderful and easy to play. Located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The instrument is in structurally fine condition, cosmetically fair condition.
: : : $1600.
: : Is it just me or does anyone else ever wonder why you always see loads of Kay basses for sale but no-one ever seems to be selling any other make ?
: : If they're so good why does everyone seem to want to sell them - just a thought !!!!!!!!!!!!
It's because they (kay) are going for a such high prices these days, and for some reason someone will buy it even though it sounds like a thuddy ply bass.. One can sell their old Kay and get a much better bass... Most of the one's I have seen are in such need of repair. real junkers... but people are buying them.....
