: Could anyone give me any advice about doublebass shipping ?
: I'd appreciate for your reply.

Some bass shops will rent one of the specially made transport cases.

I shipped a Kay cross-country to a buyer about 5 yrs ago; he made arrangements with a local chain store to do - bridge down, and in a foam case, they covered it with plastic completely, built a crate, and blew expanding foam all around it.

The Bulgarian Basses I get come in light, but effective, crates, and survive an air trip from Bulgaria, trucking from Michigan to NJ and then again to their destination.

If you are anywhere near Atlantic City, NJ, I'll be glad to give you a crate if you come pick it up.
