Just to inform you that Jargar strings are beginning to be available again!
For those who were not aware, several specialized workers in the string finishing stages had left the company several months ago, so the company was out of production. (It's quite a small factory; less than 20 employees)
Chris Quinn from Quinn Violins (www.quinnviolins.com) just received a D and G in Forte gauge.
The Forte give a better result for jazz pizz, IMHO.
For those who don't know the Jargar strings, they're probably the most gut-like bass steel strings around. They're made in Denmark.
