: : I've seen this instrument and was very impressed. Really top notch student instrument or serious amateur budget model. Way better than european equivalents

: ..I've made and repaired basses for over 25 years. The Chinese make really good instruments. Tell me where you live, and I might be able to provide the name of a dealer near you. The biggest problem I usually find with basses from China is that they haven't been set up properly. The wood and craftsmanship is usually very good except on the very cheap stuff. You might check out KC Strings in Merriam, Kansas. They make basses there, and have the best prices I've seen in any shop.

Martin. Have you heard of Christopher basses? I beleive that they are made in China. They look like good basses from the picture's. I really like the 300 series pro bass. Carved top laminated back. Let me know if you have seen these basses and what do you think. Here is the site that I saw them on.
www.concordgroup.com I am thinking of getting the the 300 series pro bass 4 string, 7/8 violin shape.... Thanks
