: OK, I checked it out, and there is nothing in the article that would prevent from buying another set of the same strings I have been using quite happily for the last 5 or so years. The current set has been on for app.3 years now, with no problems.
: So what's your point? You're the same guy that's trying to convince everyone that Kay basses are being dumped on the market because they are no good, right? What and with whom do you play?

I am not trying to convince everyone that Kays are no good it just occurred to me that you do see an awful lot of ad's of people selling them nowadays ! Maybe there's a good price being paid for them at the moment , I DON'T KNOW IT WAS JUST A QUESTION !!!!!!!!!!!
As for my comment about the Correlli strings all I was doing was drawing a fellow bassists attention to the fact that if he's considering Correlli's then there is an article in this months Double Bassist about them ! IT'S CALLED BEING HELPFUL THIS SIDE OF THE POND !!
As for what and with whom do you play ? I play two basses - a very old German ply bass and a hand carved Michael Glas. I play in a blues band normally but I also do studio work and dep' for other bassists in anything from jazz to rockabilly , I have been playing for over 20 years now so I do know a little about basses. Both of my basses are fitted with Rich Barbera's pickup system and I use a Acoustic Image Contra amp with an extension that has been modified to include a power amp. DOES THAT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ?????????????????????
Andy
