I tried both the Eudoxa and Oliv strings. The Oliv are my favorite sounding more gut-like that Eudoxa's. I also found the Oliv's a little easier to play.
On my bass, playing about three hours a day minimum the Oliv's last about two and a half months before either going completely dead or unwinding. Being a former gut player I find these strings to be the best alternative. I matched them with a Helicore Orchestra E which was pretty good. I may try them with a Obligato E next round. By the way, Obligatos are a pretty nice string for the price but still no match for the Oliv's which are going back on my bass when I find the cash.
