: Dear Fellows:
: I have just had the floors in palatial estate waxed, and now the endpin on my bass won't stay put. Does anyone know where I can get those hockeypuck-like endpin rests that used to be made in Germany by Deutsch Gummipuppenfrabriken?

Francis,Your problem does seem somewhat universal with considerable wide-
spread appeal. Your choices are many, "The Black Hole" "really grips anything".
The "Xeros" endpin anchor.(Cannot slip, very compact.)
SureStop end pin rest. (foam disk with metal cup). Wolf Super end pin rest.
As I understand the current mfg. of all puck stops and straps is done in China.
These match the current trend towards new Chinese basses which are re-
placing most of the older European basses (which indeed do tend to slip on
waxed palatial estate waxed floors - which I also assume are "Marmolium").
Your best bet is to look into a purchase of a good, new Chinese bass.
Best of luck - Please keep us posted with regard to the solution of your problem.
