Spirocores take a little while to work in. They are very bright when you first put them on, but darken when they are worked in. I find the Pirastro Jazzers to be very warm, but not arco friendly. They are the most flexible string I have tried. They have a different sound than Thomastic. They are bright, but in a seemingly less natural way?! However they do sound really good. I'd say go for which ever one has the better price.
