: I looked back, but couldn't find any old messages on the subject. I've been to a few web sites, Lemur being recommended by my teacher, and there are a few to choose from, but no pictures or descriptions. Can someone provide some compare/contrast info on the different types of rests: Wolf, Xeros, Black Hole or others I havn't seen? Thanks.
I use the Xeros. To be used while sitting on a stool. One end of a strap
hooks to a stool leg and the other end "stops" your bass. The "bass"
end is a raised (2") open wedge, pyramid shape, and the "stool" end
is a "circle" hook or loop. The strap is adjustable to your size or length.
I like this system while sitting because I know my bass will end up in
the same place every time I play - as long as I mark my end pin for the same
adjustment. ( You could buy one of each and become an expert!)(Try them all)
