Velvet Animas Strings

I've just got my hands on an old French bass and as usual have a strings dilemma. I really don't like the sound of Thomastiks/Helicores , I've been using Pirastro Obliagtos which have been great on my current bass they have a more authentic sound to my ears and they bow much better, however I recently tried Pirastro Eudoxas on a friends bass and loved them they have something extra special about the sound they produce on older instruments (again in opinion). Before I go out buy my next set of strings I was wondering if anyone had tried the Velvet Anima, they were recommended to me by Velvet as alternative for what I'm trying to acheive, but I don't anyone who has used them, does anyone know what they are like?.
