I'm with Dave on this one. I have used the Compas 360's and 180's both on my 70 year old Juzek, and have never had any of the problems that Chris describes. The 360's were pretty unbowable, but the 180's (and a set of Anima's I tried on another bass) were just fine once you get used to the lower tension. I'll also second Dave on the hard to bow the low strings fast and get a big fundamental, but I've seen that on lots of other strings to. The Anima's are cheaper than the Eudoxa's, and if you put them on (leave them on at LEAST 2 weeks) and don't like them, someone will probably buy them from you here so it wouldn't be a total loss. I didn't have to do anything to my bridge or nut either.
