: Some who have viewed the results may recall that I did a String Survey in 1997 and 1999, and posted the results, which can be found at http://www.urbbob.com/dbstrings.html - I receive a lot of email about it, and it has been a great resource for a lot of fellow bassists.
: Since there are so many new strings, and frankly, the original survey could have included some more helpful details, I'd like to solicit your interest in contributing your experiences again. However, this time I've created a web page with radio buttons, drop-down choices, and fill-in boxes which should make it a speedier and easier process. Organizing the data for posting should prove to be a challenge, but it will be great to have so many experiences with different strings available to us all. As soon as I get a good-sized sample I'll post the data on my site, probably in place of the old results -- so... if you've responded before, and your experience is still fresh enough for a thorough opinion, a new evaluation would be useful.
: You will find the new questionnaire at http://www.eclecticbass.com/stringsurvey.html
: I hope that you will all take the time to participate; I hope the results will benefit the entire bass community.
: thanks, Bob

I think it´s a great idea to make this string survey! Developing a good sound takes a lot of time, effort (and money) and a lot of different things - including strings - must be considered. The results of this survey (check out the questionnaire) can surely help a lot of us.
