: I have been following the hype about the ACoustic Image Contra and I am sure like a lot of you after the holy grail of URB sounds you are intrigued. I presently use a GK mb150 which is a great little amp but loud venues still cause problems with feedback and integrity of sound. How much, if at all, is the Acoustic image contra better than the GK.
: Also I use my GK for electric gigs (pit work and the occassional small gig.)
: Is the sound of the Contra more powerful than that of the GK when using electic bass?

Peter, have you tried using your GK with an extension speaker. I used to own a GK, and for electric gigs would pair it with a 1x12 cab. I would usually have no problems with volume. I also think that using an extension cab will boost the output wattage of your GK. H ave you also tried using the direct out intio the soundboard? I hope this has been of some help.

Dave
