: : I HAVE A FISHMAN PICKUP ON THE BRIDGE. I AM HAVING FEEDBACK PROBLEMS. I ALSO CANT GET IT LOUD ENOUGH BECAUSE OF THE FEEDBACK. HELP

: You won't get loud with a Fishman also they have a "nasal" sound!
: It really is worth investing the bucks in a Barbera bridge with the pickups built in . I would also go for an Acoustic Image Contra - if you check out my answer to "I need help with amplification - Luiz" I explain how to get real volume from the Contra amp there. I play in a blues band with 3 guitarists , harp player , drummer & vocals to keep up with and I still get asked to turn down !
: I use this setup on both of my basses.- Andy.

In response to Mr Seeds recomendation endorsing the Hanna Barbera bridge pickup, I must say that I have used one of these for some years on my tea chest bass and I must say that that they are very versatile in tone and volume qualities. Having said that, I have recently fitted a vellytononic contraflow to my Westinghouse double bass and have noticed how it projects the woody resonic sound of the old doghouse. My band The Earl grey Tea Chest Combo have a really earthy sound and this setup suits our style perfectly and with this setup we recorded our second album 'Grunge Skiffle'. I hope this is of some help!!!
