: Hi everyone. I posted a question on this site about a year ago and got some
: great advice, so I'm going to try it again. I'm doing a recital in about
: 3 months and need a nice, quick piece of intermediate difficulty. I'm also
: to be playing Bottesini's Elegy and Apres un Reve by Faure so I want something
: a bit lighter and faster. Like I said, something around intermediate to
: advanced level that I could learn easily in 3 months. Thanks. I welcome any
: suggestions anyone may have

Here's a couple of ideas:

The "Gavotte" by Lorenzitti is not difficult at all - and usually comes off well.

"Valse Miniature" by Koussevitzky is more difficult - but still within the "intermediate" range.

Dragonetti waltzes.

Individual movements from Bach 'cello suites are worth a look. The two Bourees from the 3rd Suite have always been recital favorites for bassists. The last movement from that same suite can be great - but more difficult.
