Hi. Its ed here. I think that your problem might be with the set-up of your bass.
On my 1663 bass (as heard in my latest cd!) i raised the hight of the strings at the nut to 1 cm,
for better response( sounds wierd but it works! ) then i brought the bridge really really close
to the fingerboard. (about an inch will do the job!). then i used the following fingering:
use your pinkie for the F#, then you thumb for the a and your third for the D harmonic.
If this doesnt work, try playing the whole thing on the e-string, and if you are still
failing, i reccommmend "L'Elephant" from the carnival of the animals, as you are obviously
, well, frankly, to be honest now, a bit, well, emmm, how should i put this?, ehh, you ight
have impared talent, or maybe female genitalia. excuse my harshness but hey, what kind of dumbass are you?
