: : : Does anybody know how to be in touch with Walter Woods. Thanks. Arnold

: : A 2 year old brochure I have has 760-347-7099, answering service 818-986-2761 on it. I know he moved and am not sure if this is pre- or post.

: :::Just called the 760 number--and his announcement says he won't re-emerge (to accept new calls) until Martch 13.

: Meanwhile, a question for you Woods-men: what's a good bass speaker/cabinet to use w/Walter's amp? I play Upright Bass only, and have been dissatisfied w/the JBL 15" bass spkr in a Bag End (ported) cabinet I own. I don't want "2 10s" or anything bigger than what I'm using...Suggestions welcome...

::I just ordered an Acme B1 which is a 3-way speaker with a 10, a 5, and a tweeter. It's inexpensive ($360) and I talked to both Rick Jones of Acoustic Image and Andy Lewis of Acme and they both said it was a good match with the Clarus. I would recommend getting the 4-ohm version to get more wattage out of the Clarus. Euphonic Audio is also an excellent choice. I got my Walter Woods Head about 3 months ago and I absolutely love it. I also ordered a B2 (210) cab from Acme to use with the Woods. From what I understand Walter is "away" for the time being and like someone said he will re-emerge soon. I can only tell you that his amps are worth the money and the wait.
