: Anyone know of any insurance companies that offer a better rate than Mertz-Huber's for insuring basses used professionally? Their rate is $.55 per $100 instrument value; that's their International Society of Bassists member's rate, and I think there's a $500 deductable now (which sucks).

MusicPro Insurance. $75 for a year of $10k worth of coverage for me, with a $100 deductible. I've heard good things in regards to claims as well. I haven't needed it, thank goodness. Covers "accidents" in bars, stolen out of cars, and all of those other things we must deal with. They have a website; do a search ot they are linked on Bob Gollihur's site (www.urbbob.com).
