Dear Amy:
If what you are speaking of by "acoustics" is the actual scientific measurement and analysis of the sound produced by a given body(musical instruments,interior spaces,etc.)perhaps you might check out THE JOURNAL OF THE ACOUSTIC SOCIETY OF AMERICA. This is a scholarly peer review publication which cover a wide range of research. I used it when I was in college years ago(I have a Master's in Speech&Hearing Science),but I'm afraid that I do not the address on hand,I will try to get it for you.
