Yes, I just bought a meinel. Under $5000.
I like; my first upright.
It does sound a bit thin, the D string does sound amazing, so I think it has much to do with the setup.
I want to tyr new strings too. D'adario pizz aren't cutting it.
It does sound great when mic'd and recorded w/minidisc.
What do you think?
