: I use a K&K Bass Max pickup & Golden Trinity Mic. on a carved German "blockless" bass through a GK MB150S amp using Velvet synthetic strings. The acoustic sound is fine, but when amplified I get a lot of scratchy fingering noises.

: If I remove all the treble and set the contour full left the scratchiness disappears, but so does the tone!

: Any suggestions about how to set the EQ to remove the very high frequencies while retaining the tone would be very much appreciated please?
Get a new amp. SWR WM.10's suck. I had one, then I made the mistake of getting the 12. It seems that they all sound like they have a cold.
