Dear friends:

The endpin on my bass slanys forward,as the hole has been reamed too much, and the end block is shallow. I thought about shimming the endpin by wrapping a thin sheet of veneer or even tin, aluminum or some other metal to form a tube for it to nest in,but a friend thought metall was a bad idea,as it will not expand or contract with the bass' wood-any suggestions?
