Bow Hair and Rosin

Firstly, would anyone explain the advantages or disadvantages of differing tonal properties produced by coarse black hair, medium (unbleached) brown hair, or fine (unbleached) white hair when used with harder or softer rosins.

Say by a scale of degrees:
from 1. Fine White (unbleached) hair with hard rosin
to 10. Coarse Black Hair with soft rosin.

Secondly, would any string player (including Bassists) add powdered lead to a rosin preparation in order to achieve a slightly more powerful tone?
