Ihave an Artia bass which I bought in 91 at that time it was 25 years old ,I discovered it was made in chzekoslovakia in a fctory in a town called Luby hope this is of some help, cheers Ian. : I have a laminated bass I bought second-hand in the UK about 15 years ago, and I am curious to know how old it might be, and where it comes from. The previous owner had no knowledge of it. I wonder if any of you double-bassists know the brand I am playing.

: It has a label which says: "Artia - Excelsior range - Model 5017N - Made for Boosey & Hawkes and Besson & Co."

: It's been knocked around a bit, and I know it's not a special instrument, but it sounds good to my ears, serves me well, and I would like to get to know about it a bit more.
