There are 15 stringed basses. The strings are set in octaves. Like a twelve string acoustic guitar that is. And for Jack Daniels there are a bunch of of websites that will give you a picture of a nine string. A personal opinion. If you have more than 6 strings to your bass, You better have the cooridination of a piano player and know everything about guiatr and bass b/c there is no use for a neck so wide you can't put your hand around. Meaning you'll have to be doing tapping and strictly tapping. I mean...I've seen Victor Wooten do more stuff with a four string that most bass players can't do with a five or six string b/c of the lack of mastery talent. It's not about how many strings you have it's about how much you can do with the strings you already do have.
