Sorry bud. You obviously haven't watched vic wooten play before. He used that sort of stuff way before you were even born. Double plucing is part of the basics in funk... further more, when you hit the octave of e, or a, it's going to be tow strings down and one whole step to the right (right-handers) leaving you with the notes E and A again. Not d or g. When you double thumb i would also recommend you use notes that suond good together when finger style played in a chord. E and A sound unhealthy plain dull boring (not good for lack of better terms) when you play them. I don't want to be the one with th cold hard ttruth ..but that's what it is.
