The whole concept of triplets is the idea of 3:2. Three half notes in the space
two would normally occupy, three quarters in the space of two, three eighths in
the space of two, three, sixteenths in the space of two. Telling us,"three fast
notes," isn't saying much. Fast is relative to tempo. It sounds to me like it
might be time for you to stop being musically illiterate. Learn how to read,
these concepts will be crystal clear. And the notion that tab is good for
showing a fingering, or whatever, is a crock. Once you acquire enough technique
you should be able to figure out your own fingerings regardless of how difficult
a passage is.
