if you keep your hand a lot lower to the fretboard you'll have a lot easier
tome manuevering around quicker, helping you get extra speed. another thing
you can try doing is slapping with your pinky finger and your thumb, i think
les claypool might have originated this. it's a fairly hard technique but
it just involves slapping and countering that with a pinky tap, then back to
your thumb. it doesn't give you quite the same sound as a triple tap and
doesn't work so well in higher ground. but if you can get it, a lot of extra
speed is added and there's a lot of cool ways you can end up integrating it
into songs.
