: Hi all. I've been shopping for a good wireless system (for my bass rig, of course) in the $200 - $400 price range and have heard good things about Shure, EV and Nady, and have heard horrible things about Sampson. Years ago, I owned a Nady system and it was great, except for the slight "flange" effect it seemed to have on my tone. I need a true diversity wireless system that will fit my price range, will not audibly distort my tone, is quiet, is fairly economical (battery use-wise), and durable. Any of your comments, reviews and/or suggestions are very welcome. Thanx in advance, y'all -
For me its all about guitar tone, Last summer I tried a $250 Audio Techica VHF Single channel Non-Div. model, but was very disatisifed with the harsh upper midrange tone("flange"). So today I Bought an AKG Platinum WS2000 PT/GT ($350), This is their top of the line UHF 15 channel Tru Div. unit. Its better but I still find there is a harsh upper midrange hump in its tone also. So Its going back as well. My next try will be the Shure.
