Hey Dave, no argument here.I'm usually over at the electricbass.com page, but
I look in here every once in a while just to see what's going on.If you're
an upright player, my hat's off to you.I've always wanted to get an upright,
but, between cost and difficulty transporting them, it never happened.I play
fretless, but, with inlaid markers.I know, I know, that's cheating, but, I have
the heart of a Jazz player, and one of these days I'll get an unlined neck.
I have a pretty good ear, but, I get a bit lost when I have to move from say
the first position up to the 12th.That's why I've always admired upright players.One thing I've noticed at the acoustic forum is that you guys usually
talk about technique, while we electric guys talk about our axes.That should
tell us all something.I just may join your ranks one of these days, then, I'll
be coming to you for advise.Walk on pal!
