I'm an Upright bassist who has recently picked up electric. I live in a rural area and I can't find a teacher. I know all of my scales and arpeggios, so I have a good control of the fretboard. But I don't really know what the best way to learn how to slap without a teacher. I gone through a bunch of on-line lessons and mastered the stupid little exercises in a matter of minutes, so I can do the whole slap and pop shit. But I don't really know how the fill in the space with percussive ghost notes the victor wooten does. Does anyone know a good way to practice, or of any decent books or videos on the subject?
